We provide an advisory service for teachers on curriculum development. We offer a bespoke service whereby we can tailor the curriculum to suit the needs of your school. As part of this service we will come into your school and deliver an inset day whereby we practically demonstrate the games that will be integrated into your curriculum. We also offer a therapeutic approach to lesson objectives and schemes of work whereby the lessons will be based around self esteem, communication, team work, motivation and leadership.
We offer breakfast clubs, after school clubs in a range of different sports. We also offer staff fitness boot camps. Please contact us for more information.
Sports leaders Awards
We are an accredited Sports Leaders centre and have qualified Tutors that can deliver courses at your school. The courses are for young people from the age of 13 upwards and give a nationally recognised qualification in sports leadership. There are opportunities for young people to gain volunteering work in their community once they have the award and could later lead on to paid employment. There are a number of Sports Leaders courses available please follow the link to find out more www.sportsleaders.org
This is run by our educational team. We provide a classroom teacher, learning mentors, a sports coach and a dyslexia specialist to run a supplementary school outside of school hours. Schools that take part are asked to identify students that they feel need further help with their literacy, numeracy and ITC skills. The sessions are based around the theme of sport and social skills. The scheme of work is intended to integrate literacy, numeracy and ITC into the lesson through the medium of sport. An example of a project that we deliver is writing match reports of local professional football clubs. When the theory work is over, a coach takes students outside to do a practical sports session. These sessions aim to improve the students self esteem, social skills, physical fitness and awareness of a healthy lifestyle.
Special Educational Needs
We offer specially designed sessions to meet the needs of learners that have special educational needs. We help differentiate lessons so that they can meet the standards of the PE national curriculum as well as designing bespoke schemes of work to suit the needs of the learners.
